Scads of new products have been announced at Toy Fair, running now through Wednesday in New York City. Here are some highlights. Days of Wonder releases Queen's Necklace in April, a card game for 2-4 players by Bruno Faidutti and Bruno Cathala. Players are royal jewelers vying to sell rare jewels to the queen and her Parisian court before the French Revolution. In May comes Mystery at the Abbey, a release of the deductive logic game Murder at the Abbey from Bruno Faidutti and Serge Leget. Live Oak Games releases Ice Lake, a family game in which players use dry-erase markers to skate across the ice and isolate their opponents, Tron-style. Monkey God Enterprises releases I'm the Boss!, an English reissue of Sid Sackson's out of print Kohle, Kies, & Knete, later this year. Patch Products announced Buzzword, a party game in which teams have 30 seconds to solve ten clues, the answer to each of which contains the same word. Another new product being announced at Toy Fair is Abagio, a hot new two player strategy game that leaves backgammon in the dust; not only is the play way more interesting, but the artwork is gorgeous! Check it out at abagio.com Posted by: Autumn Moore on February 7, 2004 05:22 PMPost a comment
